London’s best outdoor rooftop wedding venues

London at night with view of Thames, London bridge, St Paul's Cathedral, and the Shard

As leading London outdoor furniture hire specialists, we’ve been involved in more than a few spectacular outdoor weddings in London. So, are you looking for a wedding venue that’s head and shoulders above the rest? A rooftop wedding is the height of luxury, and many London venues offer stunning views across the metropolis. Check out our guide to London’s best outdoor rooftop wedding venues.

Sky Garden

Some rooftop venues are all about the view; others feature beautifully cultivated gardens. For the best of both, hire the Sky Garden in Fenchurch Street. Situated at the top of a 38-storey building, this gorgeously landscaped, lush green space is the highest public garden in London, and offers views of the Thames and the City of London. Complete with food and drink from the Fenchurch Restaurant, Sky Garden has everything you need for celebrating your wedding in style. It can accommodate 200-300 guests for dinner, and 300-700 for your reception.

The Deck, National Theatre

Get wed on the South Bank and enjoy top-of-the-range lighting and sound equipment at The Deck, situated on the roof of the National Theatre. This sustainable space is available for private hire and will be open for bookings from August 2018. If you’re planning a wedding that will involve lots of live performances, or you’re after a stunning, riverside view, you might just have found the perfect venue.

The Rooftop at Ace Hotel

Heading east to Shoreditch, the boutique Ace Hotel offers oodles of space for your guests and a stunning, panoramic view all the way across the city. From Canary Wharf to St Paul’s Cathedral and beyond, you can treat your guests to the ultimate 210 degree city vista – and when the celebrations are over, you can put them up for the night in this ultra-trendy, hipster hotel.

Bermondsey Social Club

If you love to explore secret, hidden-away venues that aren’t commonly known, the rooftop garden at Bermondsey Social Club could be just the type of gem you’re looking for. There’s an indoor space that holds 120 guests, and outdoor seating on the roof for 40.

Lord’s Cricket Ground Pavilion Roof Terrace

For a classically British wedding reception, there’s nothing more civilised than the Pavilion Roof Terrace at Lord’s Cricket Ground. With views over the hallowed turf, it’s the ideal space for cricket fanatics, but you don’t need to enjoy the game to appreciate the luxury of this beautiful and spacious rooftop venue. Combine it with dinner in one of the ground’s other beautiful spaces, or use it as a standalone venue. The space can hold between 100 and 250 guests.

Terrace Pavilion, Houses of Parliament

If you’re looking for an iconic London venue, you can’t get any better than this. The Terrace Pavilion, situated at the front of the Palace of Westminster (otherwise known as the Houses of Parliament), offers unrivalled views of the Thames, with the London Eye just across the river. It’s the perfect place to celebrate after tying the knot in the Member’s Dining Room or the Jubilee Room. While it’s not strictly a rooftop venue, it goes one better, with a purpose-built marquee sheltering you and your guests from the weather.
