Sofa hire: Out of hibernation and getting back to what we do best!

It’s fair to say that things have been feeling a little more optimistic this week at Rio Lounge HQ. It’s true that the weather helps; a little sunshine always puts an extra spring in our step! Moreover, the recent government announcements regarding the proposed ‘roadmap’ to ease lockdown restrictions have been music to our ears.  Finally, after what seems like forever, it seems there is hope that we can soon return to doing what we do best: sofa hire and other outdoor furniture hire for a summer of fun events. As you can see, we are literally jumping for joy! Whilst lockdown measures in England start to be eased on 8th March, as children return to school, there are two proposed key dates further down the line which will have a major impact on the events industry. 17 May 2021 – Host an outdoor gathering for up to 30 people

Get planning those outdoor gatherings; 17th May is just around the corner! This should be the date when we will be allowed to party outdoors with up to 30 people.  Celebrating a special birthday or anniversary? This would be the perfect time to plan a marquee or garden party for a small group of family and friends.  Outdoor furniture hire is our speciality and our beautiful rattan range is ideal for such an occasion.

21 June 2021- all legal limits on social contact removed

Hurrah! Remember the days when you could actually stand next to your friends and colleagues without thinking about it too much? Well….the good news is in fewer than than four months from now, (if all goes to plan), we will officially be allowed to have fun again.  This is great news, especially for the hospitality and leisure industry, (and their supply chains), who have suffered so badly over the past year. No doubt many people will want to celebrate in style. So why not get inspired by some of our gorgeous summer events from years gone by!

Also….Music festivals make a return….

With many music festivals being cancelled for the second year in a row, it was great news to hear that at least Reading/Leeds intends to go ahead as planned on August bank holiday weekend. Outdoor music festivals are a key area of business for us so this is a big positive! Hopefully, the full season of festivals will return in full force for 2022.  Meanwhile, enjoy these fabulous images of our ‘Marrakesh’ rattan sofa hire and multi-stripe deckchairs at a festival a few years back.
