Whilst most people associate rattan furniture with outdoors, that needn’t always be the case. Because we hire it out in individual modules, customers can simply choose the pieces they require to fit their available space. With co-ordinating sofa, corner, ottoman and table modules, the possibilities are endless.

Our rattan sofas are also modular in design, so these can also be arranged in different ways. For example, our signature Marrakesh sofa comes in 5 separate pieces.  The majority of customers tend to place it in the traditional L-shaped format, but this is not the only option. Modules can be split and arranged however you like; why not create a different look by separating them with some funky mirror cubes or ottomans? Great for social distancing too, where this is required.

5. Shower-proof cushions are ideal for the unreliable British weather!

If there’s one thing we can’t ever rely on here in the UK, it’s the good old British weather. Having experienced blazing sunshine, rain, hail and gale force winds all in one day during August, it shows you never can tell what it has in store! So, you’ll be pleased to hear that the cushions on our rattan range are shower proof; they can withstand light rain or a quick downpour.  However, in the event of prolonged heavy rain, we do advise that cushions are moved indoors or undercover. The rattan bases themselves are hard wearing and completely weather proof, so may be left outdoors in any weather conditions. We do request that our faux leather items are not used outdoors at all unless weather can be guaranteed to stay completely dry.

6. Our rattan furniture is manufactured ethically and to a high standard 

We regularly invest in containers of furniture from our trusted manufacturer in China. All of our rattan sofas are hand-woven from high-endurance synthetic rattan. Aluminium frames ensure that the furniture is not unnecessarily heavy, and will not corrode over time. Jo, our managing director and founder, has paid regular visits to the factory in China to ensure that not only that manufacturing standards are being met, but also that their employees are working in fair and ethical conditions. 7. Our faux leather sofas are re-upholstered regularly

Hire furniture can be subject to quite a bit of wear and tear. However, we don’t like our furniture looking tatty, and neither do our customers! This is why we invest in regular re-upholstery of our faux leather stock to keeping it looking as good as new. Our trusted supplier, a family business based in the UK, has been upholstering sofas for around 80 years. We pride ourselves in our dedication to keeping our hire sofas looking as good as they possibly can; this means regularly investing in their upkeep and maintenance.

Clearly, the Covid pandemic has had an impact on our business this year, so we are even more alert to keeping our furniture clean and safe for all our clients. Additionally, you can be assured that our crew are well informed; they will arrive wearing protective face coverings and gloves.  They will also be happy to comply with any other requirements or policies you may have ( just let us know in advance so they can be prepared)  – and will avoid entering indoor spaces unless this is completely unavoidable.

Of course, appearances are important; we want you to always receive the best-looking furniture possible for your event. Our warehouse team have a great system in place to ensure that hire stock is rotated systematically. Thus ensuring even usage of each item, so we don’t end up with some items that are more heavily used than others.
