Sofa Hire at the Hampton Court Palace Food Festival

Best known as Henry VIII’s most iconic residence, Hampton Court Palace was built over 500 years ago. Originally built in the name of pleasure, celebration, and all things opulent, in Henry VIII’s time it was considered the most magnificent palace in England!  What therefore, could be a more apt venue for a decadent Food Festival!  Now in its fifth year, at Rio Lounge we have had the honour of providing sofa hire for the VIP area at this event ever since it began.

So what is the Hampton Court Palace Food Festival?

Held over 3 days on August Bank Holiday weekend, it’s quite simply a foodie extravaganza! Crammed with delicious and tempting treats, you’ll find something for everyone. Guests enjoyed live cookery demos, artisanal food stalls, a music stage, and more!  Celebrated chef, Michel Roux Jr, and TV ‘Bake-Off’ favourite, Nadiya Hussain, were amongst this year’s famous names. Ticket-holders were also invited to explore the sumptuous palace and grounds as part of the experience. Just imagine taking a step back in time and walking in Henry VIII’s shoes back in Tudor times. Also, children loved exploring (and getting lost) in the palace’s infamous maze! With temperatures soaring into the 30s on August Bank Holiday, everyone was able to really make the most of the outdoor areas this year.

The VIP Experience

So you’re a real foodie and looking for the ultimate 5 star treatment?  Then you’ll surely love the indulgent VIP experience on offer. Special guests enjoyed reserved front row seats for all the demonstrations, complimentary champagne and a mouthwatering afternoon tea. And of course, the all-important VIP goody bag!

The Outdoor VIP area – Sofa hire and Deckchair hire 

Creating a relaxed, sophisticated ambience for the outdoor VIP area, our client chose our signature white rattan ‘Marrakesh’ sofa hire. Accessorised with simple white cube-shaped club ottomans, (pictured right), they created an exclusive yet sociable area for the VIP guests. Pictured in our main image, check out the lovely ladies looking elegant while sipping champagne and relaxing in the sunshine on these versatile modular sofas. Meanwhile, evoking a touch of English seaside chic, other guests chose to relax in an array of white linen deckchairs.

The VIP Tent – Event furniture hire for casual dining

With all the tempting deliciousness on offer, guests were hungry and needed somewhere to enjoy their food! Providing some casual dining furniture was essential. Placed in more shaded areas under the tent, our white rattan South Beach Bistro Sets were ideal. Co-ordinating effortlessly with the sofa hire, they were the perfect choice for VIP guests who wanted to escape the midday sun to enjoy some tasty treats!  Check them out pictured left.
