Did you all enjoy the snow last weekend? Usually, snow in the UK means major inconvenience; with people struggling to get to work, schools closing, and everything generally grinding to a halt.  However, as we’re in lockdown right now, it didn’t seem to matter so much. With many people working from home, and most  kids home schooling, it felt as if we could actually enjoy the snow rather than wishing it away. (We certainly noticed plenty of snowmen and other creations on our walks last weekend!). It seems that more snow is forecast for this Sunday, so perhaps we can’t put the fur-lined boots and ski jackets away just yet. Despite the snow being a novelty, nevertheless, at Rio Lounge we are mostly about outdoor furniture hire; which means we love the summer sunshine…….

Furniture hire for sunny days

 2020, whilst being a strange year in terms of the Covid pandemic, was also one of the hottest on record for the UK.  Temperatures of 37.8 degrees Celsius were recorded in London in July 2020. Being able to be outside and enjoy the good weather made lockdown seem much more bearable. Our first picture to get you in a sunny mood is of our pristine white rattan furniture range at a summer garden party. Garden furniture for marquees and stretch tents

A marquee or stretch tent is always a good idea.  Let’s face it, the British weather is unpredictable, so sometimes you need to provide shade or shelter from the elements. Here you can see an example of the trend for ‘bringing the indoors outdoors’.

To achieve this look, we have used items from our faux leather indoor furniture hire range and brought them outdoors, but kept them  safely under cover using the shelter of the stretch tent.  Clever, eh? As you can see, this was a 40th birthday party made extra special by the addition of some light up numbers.

A beautiful beach wedding

Last but not least is one of our all time favourites; this stunning image of our outdoor furniture hire at a beach wedding.  Believe it or not, this wedding took place right here in the UK, in Bournemouth. Our signature Marrakesh sofas have been accessorised beautifully with our dazzling Mirror Cube tables and cylindrical Club Poufs.
