How to choose the right lounge furniture hire for your marquee wedding

Planning furniture for your wedding can be stressful – where do you even start? If you’re planning a marquee wedding, and need help choosing lounge furniture, then maybe we can help. 1. How much space do I have for lounge furniture, and how many people do I need to seat? 

Space, (or lack of it), is the number one factor when considering lounge wedding furniture hire.  If you’re going to be serving a formal sit-down meal, then you’ll need consider how much of your marquee space will be taken up with your dining furniture, as this will obviously limit the space you have for a chill-out zone inside the marquee. Conversely, those choosing a more relaxed buffet-style reception may prefer to eschew traditional dining tables altogether, and instead hire a mixture of our lounge and bistro furniture. Consider also your guest numbers; we usually recommend hiring informal lounge furniture to seat between one third and one half of your total guests at any one time. 

2. Should I create indoor and outdoor zones?

Pictured left, our client has created an intimate chill-out zone in the corner of a marquee away from the main dining area using our white rattan Marrakesh Sofa Set.  together with some funky club poufs and cool silver Taj stools.

But, if you’re planning a summer wedding, it can be a great idea to create both indoor and outdoor seating zones; this will be especially welcome when space inside the marquee is limited.  Guests will love the opportunity to relax in the sunshine as they catch up with friends and family. Rattan furniture is ideal for this.  Using curved furniture (pictured right) to create small outdoor sociable zones, this couple hired our outdoor Bulgari sofas, and created shaded areas with our Cantilever Umbrellas  for their farm-themed marquee wedding. 3. Do I have a particular colour scheme in mind?
