As a furniture hire company, it’s quite rare that our whole team are all in the same place at the same time! With our crew always out on the road, delivering and collecting furniture , the warehouse team constantly preparing stock for the next hire, and the office dealing with all things admin, it’s usually only once or twice a year that we all get together socially. This week, we managed one of those rare occasions; we all met up at our local for a good lunch, plus a few drinks and laughs! Christmas seemed like the perfect excuse!
Whilst we have regular team meetings to discuss ideas and feedback, social occasions are few and far between, mainly due to lack of time! Our team have worked hard all year so this Christmas treat was well earned. Furthermore, our team has grown this year, with the recruitment of full-time warehouse manager, Gary, and new furniture hire executive Edel, in the office. So it was extra nice to spend some quality time getting to know everyone a little better!
As an ice-breaker, our director Jo organised a ‘Secret Santa’ this year. Given a budget of only £5, staff were encouraged to use their imagination and purchase a suitable gift for whoever they had selected from the ‘hat’. There certainly were a few ‘interesting’ gifts, ranging from practical to comedy! The spud gun received by our driver Damien was the source of much amusement over lunch!

Our office staff are taking a break over the festive season; the office will close on Friday 13 December and will re-open on Wednesday 8 January. However, our crew will still be out and about making deliveries of rattan and other hire furniture over the holiday period.
