3 Festival Fashion Looks for 2016!

New Year’s Eve Party Hosting

Well the summer festival season has begun and despite the rain it’s great to see so many revellers having a brilliant time. We love festivals and, as experts in creating stunning all weather VIP lounges, we get invited to quite a few! Once we’ve set up our gorgeous sofas and opulent ottomans we like to sit back in one of our ever so relaxing stripy deckchairs and do a bit of people watching. It’s great to see so many individual styles and we’ve come up with our top 3 festival fashion looks that we think are going to be big in summer 2016.

Grunge Girl

The grunge look came in to being in the early 90’s and it’s never really gone away! It’s the perfect look for music festivals and is particularly popular as festivals such as the Reading Festival and of course Glastonbury. Grunge looks combine a range of fabrics from florals to denims worn in lots of layers – so it’s very practical for the unpredictable British weather. Sturdy DM’s teamed with a short dress or baggy dungarees are a popular and comfy option and are ideal for walking through all that mud too. Finish off the look with loose wavy hair or pin it up into a simple messy bun for a great laid back look.

As festivals have come back into fashion they have become hot-spots for fashionistas to show off their summer styling. In fact the uber cool Coachella festival is well known as a place to see new fashion trends! As we provide relaxing lounges for many festival VIPs we love seeing the latest styles and this year it’s all about short shorts and large shades! Denim and ethnic prints were really popular materials and beach blond hair was a must have! Of course the final touch for any fasionista is a full champagne glass – and our giant silver champagne buckets are always on hand in our festival lounges to keep the bubbly cool and refreshing.

Hippy Chic

We love the relaxed vibe of summer festivals. It’s a time to chill out and kick off your shoes. The hippy look is the original festival fashion which has evolved over the years but always remains in vogue – whatever the festival. This year we’ve seen people wearing loose kaftans and smocks which are both stylish and cool on a hot summers’ day. There’s also a real trend for floral headwear which can range from a homemade daisy chain to large bright individual flowers. When it comes to footwear then traditional leather sandals or moccasins look great or just go with bare feet decorated with intricate henna tattoos.

Whatever your festival fashion sense you know that with Rio Lounge you can relax in style too! We have a range of stunning furniture for festivals of any size and we can even help you create a festival themed wedding or party.
