Celebrity X-Factor Green Room – event furniture hire in London

Changing up the long-running X-Factor format to a brand new celebrity show this year has been a great move for ITV. From high profile journalists, to world-famous footballers, to reality stars; they’re all there this year, taking the opportunity to showcase their vocal talents!  (Who knew Martin Bashir was such a crooner?!) We are all big fans of the show here in the Rio Lounge office.  So, imagine our joy when we were asked to supply our luxury event furniture hire in London, for the show’s celebrity Green Room! 

The brief – bringing ‘Nikki Beach’ style furniture hire to London

The ‘green room’ provides a chilled out backstage space for celebrities, friends and family to relax. Requesting a ‘Nikki Beach’ look for the celebrity green room, our client wanted to achieve that chilled beach club vibe! Founded in Miami in 1998, the original Nikki Beach was probably the very first luxury beach club concept. Now based in locations as diverse as Dubai, Koh Samui, and Marbella, the Nikki Beach brand is synonymous with relaxed glamour. Think sofas and daybeds in pure white rattan, and casual bistro furniture, (as well as sunshine and champagne, of course!)

With the green room being based in a large marquee structure (provided by Abacus Marquees and Fairytale Marquees) within the TV studio in London, it was rather a complex furniture hire delivery. Read on to find out more!

Overcoming tricky delivery logistics

It’s fair to say that 99% of marquees are erected outdoors, usually in a field!  This one was a little different. Being situated within the TV studio itself, it involved delivering the hire furniture to a mezzanine floor.  Crew walked smaller items such as bar stools and lanterns up the stairs. However, larger items such as sofa modules were placed on a large forklift to lift them up to the required height. 

Achieving the beach club look with our white rattan event furniture rental

Being November in the UK means unfortunately, we don’t have the pleasure of Miami’s glorious sunshine!  However, although outside temperatures may be plummeting, it’s still easy to create a warm reception with our event furniture rental.  Creating a stunning focal point to the room, our curved white rattan ‘Bulgari’ sofas were the ideal choice. Accessorised with scatter cushions also in pure white, guests were thus able to relax behind the scenes in comfort.  Meanwhile, reflecting the lights, our dazzling mirror cube tables added polished sophistication. Also giving a warm welcoming glow, our shiny silver lanterns in varying shapes and sizes were perfect for a chilled-out ambience.  Additionally, those guests who prefer to perch at a high bar stool and table loved our South Beach bistro furniture.
