Our busy summer of event furniture hire so far!
Over the past year, it’s been almost impossible to write a blog post without mentioning the pandemic. It undoubtedly had a major impact on our industry. With the majority of companies in the events industry unable to trade during this period due to restrictions, at times, the situation felt really tough. However, we feel it’s now time to move on. Freedom Day arrived in England on 19 July and we were delighted to be back doing what we do best: event furniture hire. We are pleased to report that this July was the busiest month of trading since our record-breaking month back in July 2019. Things are definitely looking up! So, what have we been up to? Here’s a little taste of Rio Lounge’s summer so far:
The return of sporting events
After a year with practically no sporting competitions whatsoever, it’s been great to get back into the excitement of sport. We’ve absolutely loved watching Wimbledon, the Euros and the Olympics; what an exciting year it’s been so far for us Brits!

Music festivals have made a return too. Our range of hardwearing yet stylish outdoor rattan furniture is super popular for those VIP festival lounge areas. We are honoured to be supplying the Bedford Prom Series later this summer, as well as the Hanwell Hootie, a multi-venue festival in Ealing.
Classic car enthusiasts may also see our event furniture hire at the Concours of Elegance. A three day event held in early September, the grounds of Hampton Court Palace will house the ‘Crown Jewels’ of the automotive world; with some 300 of the world’s most valuable and rare classic cars on display.
