Creating a Unique Wedding Day

Congratulations, you’re engaged! Now it’s time to start creating your unique wedding day – perfect for the both of you. When you are planning your wedding you want to create a day that is totally unique and that your guests will remember for years to come. You will want it to reflect your personalities – whether that’s traditional, slightly quirky, totally off the wall or something else you want your wedding day to be memorable, for all the right reasons.
Of course now that we have the internet, getting inspiration for your dream wedding is really easy. There are some fantastic wedding blogs out there which will give you advice on every type of wedding imaginable. Pinterest is also a brilliant tool for getting new ideas and following the latest wedding trends. You can even create your own wedding board to pin all of your fabulous ideas onto.
To start with you need a unique wedding invitation that really captures your guests imaginations. If you are into crafts you could make your own invites to give them a personal feel or you could get rid of paper and pen all together and get personalised balloons delivered to your friends and family. If you have a theme for your wedding you will want to make sure that your invite fits this theme. For example a beach theme might have an invite in the shape of a beach hut or for a fairytale wedding you could put silver star confetti into the envelope.
Next you need to pick the venue. There are thousands of wedding venues out there so you can choose somewhere that really suits you. Traditional weddings are perfect for stately homes and palaces. If you love being outside why not have a woodland wedding in a forest glade, or if you and your partner are big sports fans you could even get married in your favourite team’s football stadium. If staying local is important to you, you might want to opt for a village hall wedding and put your own style stamp on it with some fabulous hired furniture. Whatever your final choice, making your wedding day unique and special to you is what really matters.
Wherever you choose you will want it to look amazing and Rio Lounge are here to help you with our wedding furniture hire service. Our boutique furniture is as unique as you are and you can use it to complement any theme. We have used our stunning white Lola Daybeds to give a contemporary feel to a stately home and created ultra modern chill out lounges with our ever popular Marrakesh Club Lounge Sofa Sets. It’s the details that make all the difference and with some personalised marquee letters you will have a truly unique look.
If you are looking for Parisian romance our St Germain chairs and large chandeliers are perfect and our Directors Chairs will give the wow factor to a beach wedding. We also have an 18th Century French style white louis chair available for some vintage glamour. And if you need any further inspiration just call us for a chat – we are happy to give design advice and love to talk weddings!
Once you have your invites sent and your venue booked it’s time to look at the details. The dress is a big part of any bride’s day so make sure you buy something that you feel wonderful in and that suits your personality. You will want to feel comfortable, so if vintage chic is your look don’t be tempted to buy a large princess style dress. You may also want your wedding cake to be a unique centrepieces for your wedding table. The traditional fruit cake is no longer your only option – you could consider individual cupcakes or even a tiered cake made of cheese.
Finally make sure you send your guests home with a reminder of just how amazing and unique your wedding day was. Wedding favours have moved on from a bag of sugared almonds and can now be just about anything. Some of the best ones being featured at the moment are small pots of homemade jam, personalised mugs and glowsticks!
