If your wedding or event has been postponed due to Covid-19….
The past couple of weeks have felt slightly surreal. No-one could have predicted the huge and rapid impact of the Covid-19 pandemic, which has left the world feeling like a rather strange and unfamiliar place. Of course, business has undoubtedly suffered, with many uncertain times ahead. The leisure, hospitality and retail sectors are amongst the hardest hit. Additionally, many clients who had booked wedding furniture hire with us face the despair of having to cancel their long-awaited big day. So….what should you do if you’ve booked furniture with us, but had your wedding or special event cancelled as a result of this crisis?
Government urge us to stay at home
With the Coronavirus spread escalating, and even the Prime Minister being diagnosed this morning, the government is urging us all to stay at home wherever possible. So, anyone with a wedding or event planned for this Spring will undoubtedly find themselves dealing with a cancellation. But in some cases you will have spent months, or even years, planning your special day. The venue has been reserved, the menu chosen, the cake, dress, photographer and flowers and furniture hire booked. Not to mention the money you’ve spent on it all. So the last thing you want to do is cancel everything, but now you have no choice. Couples are undoubtedly going to initially feel crashing disappointment that they aren’t going to enjoy their special day in the coming weeks.
Postpone – don’t cancel!
But, don’t feel glum; there is hope! It may not feel like it right now, but having a new wedding date to focus on can keep you busy and optimistic. Having something fabulous to look forward to can really boost your mood and lift your spirits. Postpone, don’t cancel and think of the party you’ll have when this is all over. Remember, all wedding venues and suppliers are in exactly same boat, and the majority will be more than happy to postpone their services to a later date.

Placed an order with us for this spring or summer? Then postponing your booking is simple and hassle-free. It’s no problem whatsoever to reschedule your hire to a date either later this year, or to 2021. Providing we have the furniture available on your new date, we will simply move the booking to the revised date… at no additional cost to you. Your final balance won’t be invoiced until around a month before your new hire date, so we can be totally flexible with payments at this difficult time. We remain optimistic for a busy autumn, so do keep in touch with us; keep requesting quotes, keep looking forward…..but most of all – stay home! We will get through this together.
